The Levi’s® Brand Celebrates International Women’s Day Through the Collective Power of Women in “I Shape My World” Campaign
March 2019: The month of March marks Women’s History Month, a time when the world honors women’s voices of the past, informs those of the present and inspires those of the future. On March 8th, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the Levi’s® brand launches “I Shape My World”, a global initiative dedicated to celebrating and elevating the extraordinary women who move our world forward every day.
Inspired by India’s 2017 “I Shape My World” campaign, the Levi’s® brand took this women’s empowerment initiative a step further by creating a unified global campaign, one that’s inclusive to all who identify as a woman.
“We were so inspired by the campaign, which started in India two years ago, that we elevated it and made it global. This year we celebrate women from ten countries – activists and artists who are changing the world by speaking up. We honor these women and hope to inspire women around the world to do the same,” said Jennifer Sey, LS&Co Chief Marketing Officer.
“I Shape My World” celebrates the spirit of women empowerment and the determination to inspire change. The campaign tells the story of women who are taking active efforts to fix something they feel doesn’t make sense in their world – whether that’s starting a global movement or changing something small in their own neighborhood.
There are over 40 collaborators from around the world participating in the 2019 “I Shape My World” campaign, from India, Mexico, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, the United States, and more. From fighting off society’s female stereotypes to taking a stand for something they truly believe in, below are highlights from a few women in Singapore and how they are shaping their world.
